The Boat Jammers - Need some Facebook 'likes' from you guys

The Boat Jammers are a band based out of Nashville and I was able to see them last night at Margaritaville for their CD release party. The guys were all superbly nice, I enjoyed their show and I've been enjoying their CD today.

In talking to them afterward I mentioned it was cool that we finally had a trop rock band here and I hoped they'd get to play around here more often. They had never heard of trop rock. They were thoroughly excited when I started telling them about weekend music festivals and internet radio dedicated to a genre they didn't know they fell into.

True that. I quite seriously forget about them living here. Paul lives nearby and I met Jake back in '02. Paul's wife used to own a neat little shop that I loved down the street from the house I grew up in. I don't think Mike has been here all that long, though.
