Maine BN'rs
Need some info if possible. The volleyball coach of Maine Maritime Academy is recruiting my daughter crazy hard. Does anybody know anything about this school and what is Castine Maine like and is anybody close, so that if she goes, I can have somebody to (spy) check up on her from time to time

Maine Maritime is a great school, Cubbie. Castine is way up there but the weather shouldn't be any surprise considering where she lives now.Cubbie Bear wrote:Need some info if possible. I must admit, I have heard a lot about it, but I don't know much about the area. The only complaint that I have, living in Maine, is that I am not living in KW.

I am the Admissions Director at York County Community College in Wells, ME
and have dealt with Maine Maritime's Admissions Director many times. As Jen
said, it is a great school with an excellent academic reputation. Make sure she
visits the campus to see if it's a great fit for her. As a former college hockey
coach,we always entertained prospective student-athletes on official visits so
they could see what life on campus is like and meet team members. After a visit,
the student has a pretty good idea if it will be a place they can call home...
