The thing is, is you have to get there early and try and figure out how the parking is going to go. If you get there at te wrong time you might be the front car out the two, and you won't have a spot to tailgate. So far, I've gotten luck each time to be the second car, but I know my time is limited. We went to Alpine last year and I wish they would do it like that, but unfortunatelly there isn't enough space to let everyone tailgate. The worst part is, is we have people that show up just to tailgate and leave when the show starts, I say, if you don't have a ticket, you don't get in! I live in Crest Hill, and we had TONS of water everywhere, so cutting the show alittle early wasn't all that bad, we just got out as it started to rain.

Even coming from somebody who was farther back in the stadium it was still pretty cool. It took a minute for it to filter back, but when it did it was neat. Nobody was pitching fits and starting riots. The people that were complaining were the same ones that were complaining halfway through God's Own Drunk. Not every song is about boat drinks and the beach. I was disappointed in the power outage, but so was everybody. That wasn't the crew or Buffett's fault. I think they made the best of it. Jimmy went on with his encores a) because they're acoustic and b) because he wanted to do something in case the power outage was of a more total failure problem. Power came back up and he knocked out two more songs for us. We were lucky it wasn't lightning and storming the way it had been Friday night. The entire show could have been cancelled from start to finish.

I had such a good time Saturday from the beginning. Why would I let the last 15 minutes of the concert ruin that for me?

or find some friends to come with--we had 6 cars caravan in together, so we had plenty of space. They gave us more room than past years, I guess because they knew they would be using some remote lots too.

I have always said that this staff are the most accommodating I have seen--they came around handing out garbage bags, and when we had one sitting there that we hadn't taken to the bins yet, they did it for us. The parking is not ideal because the lot is too small for a big show that has all day tailgating, but I am impressed the way they are constantly evaluating and revising what they do. I guarantee you that they have gone over Saturday's concert, problems and successes, over and over again and already have plans in place to make next year even better.

I agree, I was very impressed with the staff in the parking lot. I noticed there were some cars that came in that would've been the first car and when they told the attendant, they let them hang back a little so they could be the second car and have room to tailgate. Honestly, all of that staff I had interactions with that day were excellent...they really do seem to care about making sure we have as good (and safe) a time as we can.

If I had been that close and had to sit next to that guy the entire show, I might have had to choke him. That would've ruined it for me. Sorry if that was you SOAB.

Yeah, listening to him was pretty painful. I thought the same thing, but tried to focus on what Jimmy was doing, and tuned the guy out. Ok, yeah, no, it was impossible to tune him out, but I really really tried!

I am wondering the same thing--he joined our tailgate, so I know he was there!
