Margaritaville thermal glasses @Bed,Bath&Beyond

Post by Mango Picker »

Spotted in Bed Bath and Beyond store wkend before last.

2 rows of clear plastic thermal glasses, with numerous embroidered patches inside all of Margaritaville and sayings, etc. "Margaritaville, It's 5 o'clock somewhere" etc. There were at least a half dozen different patches, and there were big and medium tumblers. You bought the lids separate and they came in some good tropical colors.

Thought pholks may be interested...

It's hot has you know what, here in Houston this summer. I christened my mug cutting the yard this weekend, in about 105 heat.

I hope you like em if you find some.

The thermal cups are called Tervis Tumblers. We've had ours for about a year now. They are great for hot and cold drinks and are dishwasher safe.

Tervis or not, I love insulated tumblers as they keep your ice from melting so fast. Have sworn by them on the boat (and other locales) for many years now. I've yet to buy any of the Tervis brand because they're so expensive but that's likely because they're also a high quality product. I'm really not all that concerned with having the Margaritaville, Inc. logo on them, I just want a product that's durable and lasts. Oh, and keeps my beverage cold.

We did a Tervis test at our house. put exactly the same amount of ice in a Tervis, a off brand insulated and a cup with a koozie on it. They all did well but the Tervis barely beat out the off brand, so for the price $5 vs $25. Still love my Tervis though :D

Lots of great designs on the Tervis website, and they are constantly adding more.

tervis tumblers have a lifetime guarantee--I think that is a great selling point!

The problem I've noticed with the insulated tumblers I've owned is that they break too easily so that lifetime guarantee is a huge selling point with me.

And if you save all the coupons from BBB you can get 20% off each glass!

One of mine developed a leak...there's condensation between the two layers but quite honestly I've got way too much on my plate now to even think of returning it. And of course it's a retired design. I also use the non tervis regular shaped cup straw and lid that I pick up at TJ Maxx and the like, they do seem to work just as well....until you drop them. :(

From the Tervis website:

I need to replace defective tumblers that have designs you no longer carry. Is it possible to have the same design in my replacement order?
Over the years, Tervis has redesigned or discontinued select designs to keep our line up to date. If your defective tumbler(s) has a design that Tervis Tumbler no longer carries or you originally supplied, you can choose one of the following options (option must be indicated on the replacement form:
•Request Tervis attempt to reuse the original insert from the defective tumbler, if still in good condition
•Choose an alternative, non-licensed design for your replacement tumbler
If neither of the above options are chosen and Tervis is unable to reuse the original insert, Tervis will replace with a similar design or in some cases a clear tumbler

So maybe it can still be salvaged!
