Good Thoughts For Bristow Show Tonight

Post by FunkHouse9 »

I'm asking for you to cross your fingers for me. I won't tell you why. You already know why. It will do nobody any good to trudge the topic back from the grave. But, I'd be doing myself a dis-service if I didn't at least give my cause just one humble plug. Not a plea mind you. I have given up on that. There's always hope though. Good thoughts for the setlist choices tonight. That's all.

I have a feeling Jimmy will be playing fiddle tunes under the stars tonight. Here's hoping the sunset'll bring on the song that's escaped you.

/honestly, I think something hurricane-related or Defying Gravity will end the show

Oh we'll get Goodnight Irene or Trying to Reason. That was practically predetermined when the show got postponed.

I should elaborate that it wouldn't need to be in the final position, he can open with it for all I care. Just want to hear it played live in person.

Hear WHAT played live in person?
I am so confused.

If there is a particular song
you would like to hear, may I suggest
that you start a campaign online
here at BN. That might help.

Sincerely,

SP

I'm sorry Surf, but you're incorrect. There is no song in particular I want to hear tonight. I certainly don't want to hear anything that might be referenced in my profile info, just below my photo, next to where it says "Favorite Buffett Song:"

Knowing my luck, if I changed my favorite Buffett song to Margaritaville, he wouldn't play that either. Actually, I've heard that about a million times. Maybe I should try that.

Weather.com says there's a 75% chance at 2pm but by 5pm it's down to 10% until midnight. Having said that, we all know how reliable weather forecasts are around here.

And there is a 1.17% chance of another earthquake. (Nothing to get shook up over.)

Thanks. Your comment made me smile even if I didn't hear it. I was holding out hope all the way to the end. Was disappointed to get TCC as a closer for what I think was the 3rd year in a row.

Me too and three years ago I was so excited to hear it. Then last year was disappointed that we didn't get Nautical Wheelers but figured get get that goodie again. Then we get it a third year? Almost makes me think he should be checking the BN setlist archive to see what he's done they year or two before to mix it up for the fans in that city. Most of the fans at the shows aren't hanging on every encore on RM. I haven't looked at a single setlist yet this year because I don't want it to spoil the only show I'll get. For all I know, he's played it every night.
