I know it says I'm new but I'm not a new fan just never posted before. This will be my 1st concert since my MD confined me to a wheelchair and severely cut my life expectancy at 36. I did my tickets in Sec 130 and have decided if this has to be my last concert I am going to do it right! So be on the look out for the crazy guy in the power chair having way too much fun and say hi.

Fins up and see you all in 36 days!!!!!!!!

I am loving this thread. I really wish that I could go to this show, but most importantly, I am so happy that Denver is getting a show. You all have waited patiently for 7 years, so it is your immoral and uncivic duty as parrotheads to live it up.

I don't know so much about PATIENTLY ParrotHeadInThe Making ;)

For anyone that won't be arriving early, or that won't be able to bring much stuff PLEASE come by my spot, grab a drink and a cheese burger.....can't guarantee it'll be paradise, but come on by!!

The map for my spot is on page 3.

My crew is planning to arrive by 10:am. You'll know my spot when you see this banner:

10am arrival time? I like your style!!!

I want to arrive pretty early as well.

I am planning on bringing my video camera AND regular digital camera to document the tailgate and show we have waited over 7 years for.

JIMMY BUFFETT IS COMING TO DENVER.

Wow.

How long we have waited to hear and say these words!

Once upon a time (read: the last time he was in town),
I remember pulling up to the Can (Pepsi Center) and then, BANG, immediately, the truck next to us was housing an ICE SCULPTURE that turned out to be a long icy slide to enjoy shots off of. We were offered shots no less than two minutes after we parked. The rest of the day fell into place quickly after our first couple of "shots from the slide".

If JB was taking a moment to glance at this thread, we are extremely excited you are coming back for your triumphant return to the Mile High City!

The Mile High knows how to party and celebrate, so I am confident that this will go down as one of the most enjoyable days of 2011.

I will likely be one of those who won't be arriving (too) early and not bringing much. Per Penny's suggestion, we probably will take the light rail in from the hotel. I will definitely stop by your spot and hope to meet some of the other BNers, however.

BTW, your maps are gone from page 3... says they have been moved or deleted.

Fixed the pictures!!

If there's stuff you want or need let me know, we can figure out how to get it to you. I plan to buy some extra food-stuff....but not sure how much.

I'm also going to try to bring as many chairs as I can.

PS: I think it's kinda funny how we both have a carbonated beverage in our signatures :pirate:

I was next to the ice luge as well. That was a pretty awesome thing they had going on there.

I just might have to look into adding an ice-luge to my plans....I know I've seen plans for the base online somewhere.

I saw them at a Spencer's Gift's a year or so ago. Why I was in a Spencer's, I don't know. I just remember seeing them there.

yeah, I saw those....not sure about the adult shapes :o

Was thinking just getting a couple blocks of ice as the gas station, bring my router....or just something to carve with. Might need something to put the ice on, people don't always like kneeling (if it was just on a table).

Hmm....thinking....

Hubby and I are going to figure out our plan tonight or this weekend.

It will be just the two of us, no kids.

We may park at Pepsi in the early AM when we get to work to save our spots and then head over later in the morning or at lunchtime. We usually get downtown for work between 7:30 and 8. We'll plan on being in the same area. The gas station has flushie pottys and that makes me happy.

Not sure if we are staying the night downtown or if we'll head home after the show. I'm hoping for staying downtown, but that depends on the $$ situation.

Ice luging in October doesn't sound very appealing (his last show here was in the month of May). It is overcast and 55 degrees here now, so don't rule out wearing parkas and Sorel's and actually needing to use the 4-wheel drive.

One of the worst blizzard's in Denver's history occured during that week of October in 1997.

Wear the long johns under the grass skirt. :pirate:

We always have to wear winter jackets for Halloween, although we are 2000 feet higher and it gets damn cold at night in October here.

It will be hit-or-miss with the weather. It can be nice in October, Indian-summer style, or it can get nasty as you pointed out with the blizzard.

I'm already searching for tropical long undies. It could be gorgeous, you're right.

We usually have heavy coats on for Halloween, too.

To all talking about the weather, "Shush your mouth!!" We need positive thoughts here people!! Phin Power!!

In 2003 it was over-cast and chilled most of the day, but it got really nice before the concert...when we went inside
