OMG I had forgotten about the Bananas on the Rum....used to have them make me a shake.

I'm not so sure why they felt they needed to add the malt-balls.....think it woulda been better with just the rum.

Mal, since the malt-balls are chocolate covered maybe you could take them out as you go?

I once let a pint of Cherry Garcia melt on the counter, all the cherries and choco chunks sunk to the bottom. Re-froze it and it was really good even before reaching the chunks!!

I gotta tell you though, we rarely get the new flavors right away here in Vt either!
I live in the town where one of the factories is and when I first bought my house if you paid your taxes in person at the town clerks office they gave you a coupon for a sleeve of B&J's. It was always a choice of some oddball flavors but it was fun nonetheless. They stopped doing it a few years ago and no one seems to know exactly why. There was a big sign on the door to the Town Clerk that said "We're sorry, no more Ben & Jerry's coupons - no we don't know why!"

There I was walking the aisles at work while on lunch when something caught my eye. I had trouble seeing so I

bent down closer to get a better look, BAM there it was. I felt so giddy and there were no more so I snatched up

my prize, paid for my conquest and now I am proud to say "I HAVE SCHWEDDY BALLS!"

I will taste my prize after work and let you know what kind of taste there is.

As promised, my Saturday morning chores included a trip to the B&J Factory - they tell me they have pints available inside but I didn't see any, but I took one for the team and used my whole day's worth of calories and a weeks worth of fat grams. It was pretty good, the rum balls are fairly rummy. The best part was going up to the scoop shop, I hadn't been there in a long time and it was cool to remember what a great thing I have here in town! Next BHOTM we have to all go there! There was a guy in the ice cream aisle at the grocery store and he asked me if the store carries B&J, I showed him the case where it was and told him I was looking for the new flavor - he asked what it was - I said "Schweddy Balls" he said "That DIDN'T just come out of your mouth!"
