OMG I had forgotten about the Bananas on the Rum....used to have them make me a shake.
I'm not so sure why they felt they needed to add the malt-balls.....think it woulda been better with just the rum.
Mal, since the malt-balls are chocolate covered maybe you could take them out as you go?
I once let a pint of Cherry Garcia melt on the counter, all the cherries and choco chunks sunk to the bottom. Re-froze it and it was really good even before reaching the chunks!!
Having just had my first dish of it. The malt balls add a nice crunchy surprise to it and it doesn't detract from the rum balls. Although a floater poured OVER the ice cream would make it even better. OH GUNTHERMOOSE - make note for GW dessert next year!

I went to another supermarket yesterday afternoon and they didn't have it, that makes 2 so far. There's another one from the same chain, but a newer and much bigger store, about 3 miles away. Maybe I'll try that one next week and see if it has a better ice cream selection.

The supermarket is less than 2 miles from the factory and they didn't have it either. Although that may be the reason right there. The smaller market in Stowe didn't have it on Monday either. Actually that works better anyway, the last thing I need is a full pint sitting in my freezer!

well, I hope you won't continue to patronize that store!
I gotta tell you though, we rarely get the new flavors right away here in Vt either!
I live in the town where one of the factories is and when I first bought my house if you paid your taxes in person at the town clerks office they gave you a coupon for a sleeve of B&J's. It was always a choice of some oddball flavors but it was fun nonetheless. They stopped doing it a few years ago and no one seems to know exactly why. There was a big sign on the door to the Town Clerk that said "We're sorry, no more Ben & Jerry's coupons - no we don't know why!"
HAHA...I love small towns!

According to that map, there's one place in Brooklyn that has it and another one in Manhattan. It would melt before I got home from either place.
There are 4 supermarkets within 3 miles of my apartment. I've tried 3 of them and none of them have it. Next time I go shopping I guess I'll try the 4th one.
Interesting, in VT it's in these tiny little towns, local grocery/general stores, which is kind of nice now that I think about it.
The only town of any size that has it is Shelburne - a ritzy suburb for Burlington, but even then it's at the Shelburne Market, not the local chain supermarket.

I find it amusing that our very own HOG is running around the streets of NYC looking for Schweddy Balls.....who'd a thunk it???

Nah, this is the same guy who eats "Dippity Dots" at concert venues I think he's a closet ice cream freak. (Love you Larry!)

Driving around the streets of southwestern Nassau County, not running around the streets of NYC.

I could eat ice cream every day of the year. When I go to Hooters for the Wednesday Wingsday special I almost always stop at Cold Stone Creamery on the way home.
