One week from today I will be packing! Then off to the end of the road on Tuesday morning.

Mr. PORT and I will be driving down from Miami and hitting KW in the evening on Tuesday. Looking forward to seeing everyone, can't wait!!!

We should be fine. I fly down Sunday, Matt's arriving lunchtime on Monday.

Mere had to bail due to work I'm in charge of making sure Matt is under proper supervision and behaves at all times

Supposed to fly out of Cedar Rapids (through Chicago & Ft. Lauderdale) on Tuesday morning, but my car is packed just in case the airlines (in my case, United) has to cancel any flights due to the hurricane.
Not likely to happen going through Chicago, but many flights through there originate on the East Coast, so you never know.
If I have to, I can jump in my car and leave tomorrow morning. After today, I'm done working until Nov. 12th.

United cancelled my flight coming back for no reason, now I have to stay an extra day and pay for it myself. Still extremely P.O.ed about that.
Over the past 15-20 years, the U.S. Airline industry has gotten REALLY crappy with their "service" to the public. (Or LACK of service). That's why I just drive whenever it's feasible.
In this case, it just may end up being so.

i won't be there this year!!!...New Job and lack of time off....had to use time for 2 recent deaths of friends..one 38 with a brain tumor...married to my BIL sister , the other 49 with ALS diagnosed in Feb.....have a great and safe trip , wish i was traveling down with you guys!!
