Ive often wondered why Jimmy Buffett and John Prine havent ever done anything together,or have they I just dont know about it.They are a lot alike in their writing,love em both!

Marvin Gardens and John Prine both appear on Steve Goodman's album

I know Buffett and Prine appeared on the cover of Somebody Else's Troubles but do either of them actually play on the record? I ask because I seem to recall someone here saying that Buffett doesn't play on the album.

There's also this article which was published and posted here back in the summer, the photo gallery includes at least one photo from the Somebody Else's Troubles cover photo sessions:

You are correct. Marvin Gardens is credited on the cover photo only,
not on any of the songs.

Jimmy Buffett isn't credited anywhere on the album either.
