Pismo Beach/Morro Bay, CA
My niece is getting married next September in Pismo Beach. My fave cousin and I are looking for a cool, AFFORDABLE place to stay for a few days to enjoy the festivities. Any suggestions??? Also any suggestions about "don't miss" places would be appreciated. While my cuz has visited/lived in the area and won't be staying as long as I will, I'm anxious to make the most of my week in the area. Will be staying with my "brother from another mother" and his family for a few days in Atascadero, so I will have time to explore.
All suggestions welcomed!!!

Do you like wine? You'll be right in California's Central Coast wine region. http://www.pasowine.com/ Two favorites are Zenaida Cellars http://www.zenaidacellars.com/ and Lone Madrone http://www.lonemadrone.com/. There's a place in Pismo called Splash Cafe. Their clam chowder made on a CA PBS travel show http://www.yelp.com/biz/splash-cafe-pis ... &start=120. The big draws to the central coast are San Louis Obispo, Morro Bay and a little further up the coast from Morro Bay is Cambria. Pismo has one of the best beaches to go for a walk on. Have a great time!

Thanks, everything is going on my "to do" list. Looking for a cool B&B to stay. Have any suggestions for that?Tequila Revenge wrote:Do you like wine? My Grandma lived in Atascadero. My folks were married in the church there while my dad was going to CalPoly SLO. As a kid we spent a lot of time between Paso Robles, Atascadero, SLO, pismo and Morro Bay. We got married in Morro Bay and had our reception at the Yacht club..... Lots of cool stuff in the area...Hearst Castle is worth going to, Morro bay has always been a cool place to check out. Los Osos is cool..... The dunes on the coast side of the bay are very cool..... Have fun...!!!!
