I am Red Sox fan just for the simple fact that I HATE the Skankees!!!(I'm a true Met fan so we can't like the Skankees) But with the signing of Bobby V -I am a full fledged fan now -Best choice ever -wish the Mets hired him back!!!! Way to go Boston!!!! -I get MLB package from Direct TV every year so I really got into watching the Bosox -very enjoyable team :D

Didn't know about Heidi..I wonder where she's going. I'll miss her in the morning at 8:35 on ZLX.

I'm feeling very odd about the Sox right now...like I don't know that team. I've put my fan-ship on hold for the moment to gather my thoughts. Still feeling so disappointed on too many levels. It may be another year of stepping back for moi.

Heard on the car radio this morning that she may be getting some courtside gig with the Lakers.

And Valentine will be a disaster. This team is headed right back to the old days...

Remember, Torre failed a couple of times ,before he got the Yankee job. I think Valentine will do a great job personally!!!...time will tell and one of us will be right....oh!! and Hazel Mae was pretty good on the eyes , before she left for the MLB network!!

I think Bobby Valentine will do okay as manager.
But then again, Terry Francona (I.M.H.O.) was a DAMN fine manager.
He brought the Red Sox more titles during his 8 years than any other manager did during the past 8 decades.

What happened to the Red Sox this year has happened to ALL teams at one time or another.

I think you can include Francona too. Didn't he fail with the Phillies too? I also want to say he managed another team as well but not sure.

When I was living in Memphis in 1994, Francona was manager of the Birmingham Barons of the Southern League. (Class AA), same league as Memphis. When Birmingham came to town to play the Memphis Chicks, the stadium, which usually had around 3000-4000 people per game, would get upwards of 10,000 folks in attendance.
Probably had something to do with their right fielder, a former basketball player. His name was Michael something.
