Grace Potter Grammy nomination

Post by ScarletB »

Haven't seen this here yet... While it's not my personal taste it's very cool to see a VT artist reach this level!

Another big honor for a Vermont music star.

Grace Potter has been nominated for a Grammy Award for her duet with country star Kenny Chesney called "You and Tequilla."

The pair was nominated in the Best Country Duo category. Their music video recently received top honors at the Country Music Awards.

Duet or not.... You could throw her into my bed any night, and I would not kick her out.....
Did you hear the one about me being a punk?
Did you hear the one about me being a drunk?
Did you hear the one about me losing my nerve?
Or how I'm just another f**** sheep in the herd?
Did you hear the one about me giving a s***?
Cause if I ever did I don't remember it.

When I was living out on Nantucket, Grace Potter would play a couple shows a year out at the Chicken Box. I saw 30 + bands a year out at that bar and Grace was by far the best (sorry Little Feat). This past summer was the first in a very long time she didn't play out there. Guess she has finally "made" it. Stupid Kenny Chesney . . . stopping messing with good talent that play dive bars on my island!!!!
the hit and run is as good as any religion around this time of year . . .

Good for her. I rarely listen to female artists but I appreciate the talent. And she's hot!!!

I'm just glad this will bring some attention to Grace Potter. I think there may be a bunch of people who never would have heard of her without this duet with KC. She is sooooooo talented!
