Why did the logo on the side of the briefcase change?
And why was it necessary to go back to the beginning of this story arc (from 12/8) and change them all?

I screwed up .... the logo now represents, correctly ... Exploding Barrel Games ... who are the developers of Margaritaville Online game.
EB Games logo is the game retailer in malls, and not Exploding Barrel Games, the gaming software developers.
My (usually thorough) research failed me when I decided to lampoon EBG,
and I grabbed the wrong logo. EPG (Exploding Barrel) likes the lampoon, but it would help if I used the correct logo,
