The Virtual Parrot Head Club will again be hosting a tailgate at the Tampa venue when Jimmy comes to town.
Breaking news, we have worked with the Tampa Bay Parrot Head Club to make this a co-club sponsored event with the Virtual and Tampa Bay clubs! This is great news, as our two clubs will be working together to the benefit of the named charity, Shriners Hospital for Children. As part of this joining, our tailgate will move a short distance from where we have been in the past, map provided below. As usual, all are welcome and we expect a great turnout from our group at the revised location. The Tampa club has expressed their friendship and offering of having us all party with a purpose together.
For those wishing to donate to the charity or entertainment, I'd be happy to accept funds ahead of time, otherwise there will be tip jars for both during the tailgate for folks to help with tailgate expenses and charity donation. If you wish to donate before the day, just PM me and I'll send you my paypal info.
Friday, March 30th, 2012, Jimmy will be playing at the 1-800-Ask-Gary Amphitheatre in Tampa, Florida, and the Virtual Parrot Head Club will raise funds and host a small tailgate in the parking lot along with the Tampa Bay Parrot Head Club (weather permitting).
Entertainment will include James (Sunny Jim) White, John Frinzi, John Patti, and Jimi Pappas.
This is planned as a BYOE (bring your own everything) tailgate, so be sure to have your food and beverages for the day.
Some folks have offered to bring food to share. We'll bring a few tables or for anyone who wants to be involved in a pot-luck to share with each other.
We will have water to share (until it runs out) to help keep folks hydrated during the day, and will be accepting donations to be given to Shriners Hospital for Children.
Any questions, please post to the virtual parrot head club Facebook page, found here:
http://www.facebook.com/groups/141671283122/, or in this thread since I'll be watching here as well.
Thanks, and look forward to seeing everyone in Tampa, and continuing the spirit of "partying with a purpose" in support of Shriners Hospital for Children!
