SBH Lime Flag...

Post by GEED181 »

..Just to Make McPhin and Scarlett jealous...........At the Orlando show last night I "flew" the small lime flag and Jimmy responded....at the end he walked over to me and reached out for it, and of course, I had a sharpie attached to it...signed it right on the Lime......will fly it over the 6 signed flip flops....and set lists....Great show and the new Amway center is awesome....

Well, I turn 60 this summer and I may be willing to spring for the expensive seats so maybe I'll get lucky.

Uh don't forget Summerlover will be jealous. Well how lucky for you...again. What a great treasure!!!

I love my flag Ron and I thank you again for getting it. I have it out in the summer (although I do worry about fading) and it draws lots of comments along with my jaw bone I found last May on the shore in Grand Fond.

Next year we plan on a return trip to Longboat Key so we would most definitely love to meet up.

Always front/center...yes I am a seat snob.......What really p***es me off is that if you are going to be in the front row, at least pay attention to what is going on up there. People next to me made several beer runs and pee breaks and missed half the show. What's the point?

I saw you hand JB the flag, but didn't know what it was. Congratulations on getting your flag signed. I had club tickets up in the nose bleed section. :D

To paraphrase.."I'll hang on every line". I really believes it makes a difference to Jimmy. The last two shows he made a point to tell us how he appreciates us hanging in there. I feel he means that we are actually watching and enjoying him perform, not constantly on our cell talking to people. I like to drink as much ( or more) than most, but I only have one or two beers at most before the show. I do not want to miss a second of being that close because of a few extra beers...The Champagne flows in the limo ride home..........Your mileage may vary....

 Okay, Okay...I'm here now reading this and I wouldn't expect anything less from you, Ron!! I'm still too cheap to pay scalpers for those seats...plus I hate the whole scam that they run. I'd rather spend the dough on a trip to our favorite island. So, I'll always be a few rows behind you unless it's SBH, AXA or some other island locale.

Glad Jimmy could sign your flag. I'll have to remember that one if I ever get so lucky.

I agree with the rest of you...if you want to talk and drink all night what are ya doing at a concert, ugh!!!

i've gotten front row 3-4 times , not counting Newport or a couple of VIP events.....came close of Jimmy signing my Red Sox shirt...he actually stepped on it once.....does that count!!.....i never scalped for a front row.....luck of the draw and timing on ticketmaster or it's who you know at the time. The best one , was yes i did scalp a ticket to get in for 25.00....it was behind the sound board , they moved our row to the front row ( they added seats in front of the true front row) , i guess they had problems with people spilling drinks the night before.

Tommy, how lucky. I swear my computer must have some weird cookie because I always seem to pull up the same section for GW and Tampa.

Rich (sound) must have had a tough time the night before your concert... maybe it was drinks or just loud drunk fans...(more so than usual) :-?

I miss Merriweather Post Pavilion .... front row was
conversationally close to the stage ....
and the stage was but 5 feet high.

At Nissan/Jiffy Crude Pavilion
front row may as well be 3rd row may as well
be 5th row ....
The stage is over 6 feet high and there is
at least 8 feet and a barrier (and Charleston)
between the front row and the stage.
Next to zero/zilch interaction
with Jimmy during the show.

At Merriweather my wife and I
were able to converse with Jimmy
between songs. He even bought me a beer
one year after kicking a beach ball
square in my face while I was in mid-sip.
He apologized profusely.

At Nissan/Jiffy Crude, I barely got the
impression he could even see the front rows.

..The new Amway had 44 seats in front row and were arms length from the stage..the pit was only 2 feet deep so a handshake and getting an autograph is real easy...also the stage seemed not as deep so Buffett's Mike was maybe 15 feet away. I Love Great Woods, but Amway may become the new favorite....
