Downtown hotels are out of control on price for sure, $200+ at hotels that can normally be had for about half of that.

So yeah, book on Priceline. You get the Sheraton mentioned above if you bid $70. It rejected me at $66 so you probably can't get it much cheaper, haha. Ends up about $90 a night after taxes.

What is the parking / tailgating situation @ Sprint Center? We have gone to Frisco, TX the last few years and really didn't like the venue change this year, so we would like to hit KC. Can anyone give me a heads up.....

There is no tailgating. The arena is downtown and you will most likely park in a garage somewhere. I think there might have been a couple of surface lots last year that had tailgating that I saw, but I wouldn't count on that. If you want the parking lot experience go to Dallas, the Starplex was a pretty good tailgate back in 2007 or whenever it was the last time he was there.

I would expect a pre-party in the bar district across the street from the arena. Someone else will have to speak to that, I didn't do that last year.

Thanks for the help!! A thursday show in Dallas just doesn't work for me. I will try to get some more info on surrounding parking for KC

There will be a major Pre-Party across the street in the Power & light area.. Last year the Boat Drunks played.. They are still working on the line-Up right now... We also had a Friday night Pre-Party at a Bar called KnuckleHeads...

Great Bar across the street called Johnny's Tavern.... No Parking lots.. Just Taxi it from your motel down to the Arena...

We will be making the trek from KC to Omaha for the show this year, function at school trumped the KC show. Still only three hours away.
Saw some questions on tailgating...
Last year we were able to set up in the lot right next to the CBE. Northeast corner of 13th and Grand and had zero issues. The attendants had us back up to alley and said as long as we were in the alley we were ok. KCPD walked through several times. It was 25.00 to park.
Hopefully we will be as lucky in the O....
