Our PHC is having a fund raiser on the 17th, St Patty's day.
We are all to make a crock pot and bring it to the bar for all to vote on.
Does anyone have a great crock pot recipe?
THANKS!!

Let me know what kind of recipe you are thinking of if you don't find one. I have a Crock Pot cookbook from a friend that has all their favorites checked. I haven't made most of them, but can help ya find almost any kind of food you want.
Except, I looked through for IRISH type recipes and didn't see one. There is a Deluxe Potato Casserole though that sounds a tiny bit IRISH.

My bets are on KK having a great Irish dish that you can do in the slow cooker.

My personal favorite thing to make in the crock pot is pulled Buffalo chicken. I just take boneless, skinless chicken breast and throw it in the crock pot with chicken broth, let it simmer all day while I am at work, drain out the broth and take your favorite hot sauce- mine is Anchor Bar mild wing sauce and pour that in, pull apart the chicken and you are good to go !!
Many time I make that and serve as sandwiches and use blue cheese dressing instead of mayo (a Buffalo thing-but try it !!)
and with celery and carrotts !
Easy and yum !

I was going to do a cabbage and meat thingy, but then I thought if people don't like cabbage, they won't vote for it....

Corned Beef and Cabbage is great (and easy) in the slow-cooker, but I'm sure somebody else will submit one on 3/17. Maybe you can find a recipe for Ir
ish stew?
Pulled pork is my fav slow-cooker dish, followed by beef stew, and chili. But for those dishes I brown the meat before adding it to the crockpot. Some people find that too much work. YMMV.

(Yes, it says to brown the meat. If you have the time, this is the way to get the most flavor in your dish)

I wonder what the STOUT beer does? Flavor or help break down the meat?
Anyway, I actually add diced turnips to my slow cook dishes as they seem to soak in all the flavors and are yummy!

For browning the meat beforehand!

Not sure yet whether it's genius or insane! Interesting recipes in the index, however.
