Few more hours to go, I think. I wish I could have one more cup of coffee with that woman. Moms really are the best.

Mal, you just go on in there and have a cup of coffee with her and talk to her now. We all did with my mom for those last days and hours, individually and together. I truly believe she heard it all...the stuff we said directly to her...and the side conversations among us. I hope it brought her some peace. I know it brought us some peace.

Moms ARE the best. When my mom was at the end in hospice, I talked to her contstantly about the things we used to do together. On some level, I believe she heard me and we shared a memory together at least. I wish you much strength in the coming days, and peace for your mother.

Thanks so much everyone. She passed yesterday around 530pm. It was lovely and peaceful as far as those things go.
I did OK until they had to come pick her up and take her to the funeral home. I was so sad that she had to leave her house knowing that she wouldn't get to come back home.

Much love to you and your family. Extra love to Victoria.....
I remember that feeling like it was yesterday. There is something to be said though, for being able to pass peacefully in your own home, surrounded by familiarity and your loved ones. There is a beauty in that that a lot of people don't recognize.
Rough days ahead, you're most certainly in my thoughts.
