Just caught Steve Earle's show last night in state college, pa. During the show he mentioned he would be doing some shows with John Hiatt later this year.

Awwww, man. Be still my heart. Steve's coming to Dallas later this month. I'd love to see the two of them together.

Last night was probably the best show I have seen Steve do, and I have seen quite a few. He played Angry young man which was a real treat. He also said after he played Tanneytown that it just might have been the best he ever played it

I'm on the list for the show at the Granada in Dallas. It will be the first time I've seen him since he was tourning behind TOWNES. That show left me speechless. I had to remember to breathe. Thanks for sharing.

Haven't heard anything about the shows with Hiatt yet other than here but recently a friend related a story about how Earle set out to shoot Lyle Lovett many years ago but Lovett was unable to be found at that particular moment (imagine that). Apparently this tale is in a Steve Earle biography. At any rate, Lyle was a guest on Earle's Hardcore Troubadour show on Sirius/XM's Outlaw Country channel recently. I missed it so I'm not sure if that story came up during the course of the broadcast. Hopefully I can catch a repeat. For anyone that's interested, here are Steve's upcoming tour dates:
