The club will not be making that decision. The band will be hired by bar, we will let you know as soon as we do.

Just confirmed!! Jimmy Buffett is heading to Cincy!! We are performing for the Cincinnati Parrot Head's pre concert party on the river. It's August 1st, 10-1, in Newport, Ky. at JB Fins/The Beer Sellar on the river !! The Parrot Heads are planning to be there, go to a Reds game at 7 and be back for the party!!! And it's open to the public !!!

As early as we have to get up on the morning of the concert, I don't think we can wait until 10 p.m. to start to party the night before. We'll be there earlier than that to party at JB Fins/Beer Sellar. I'm wondering if either of those places are having another band (like Conch Republic) play before Lunar Beach House Band plays....?????? I sure hope so....it won't seem like the regular pre-party without Conch Republic singing Sweet Caroline..bum bum bum !

Hello there fellow Parrotheads,

Some friends and I will be making our first trip to Cincy this year and I was wondering if there were any options for transportation like buses from bars or anything like that. I searched around and I had not seen anything just yet. And help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I forgot to mention...we will probably be staying in the Covington/Newport area.

I plan on going to Riverbend this year because they are changing venues for the Detroit show from DTE to Comerica Park Anyway, I've been to Riverbend 3 times for Buffett but never saw tailgating. At DTE the whole parking lot was a huge party. At Riverbend we parked in the main lot and saw security all over and no partying. Where do you guys tailgate at? My friends and I plan on coming to party with Cincinnati parrot heads!! If anyone has extra lawn tickets let me know, I need 1-3.

Haha! Wow! I'm always the passenger so I must have been making drinks or something and didn't see the other lots. Well, thank you! We will definitely be over in the other lots this year to party!

YAY !!! Just heard that the band Conch Republic will also be playing at JB Fins the night before the concert (along with the Lunar Beach House Band). And the Cincinnati Parrothead Club will have a silent auction and will raffle off a Margaritaville Grill.

Only 86 more days !!!!!!

Well, sorry to tell y'all that I won't be able to come this year. I actually had thought about making the trek b/c I met soooo many groovy people there last year, but there's no vacation time availble.

So me, my pink Converse All Stars and my KY jelly beads will miss you so badly.
