I saw a Buffettnewser on Facebook who said she was gonna pour out the juice of a jar of maraschino cherries, fill it with chocolate vodka, put the cherries back in and have chocolate cherries in a week. Oh my that sounds so WONDERFUL ! I may try it.

not quite barry's idea. no glass involved only toothpicks or fingers. if you like olives you will enjoy it.

i have done the chocolate vodka and the expresso both are good with the cherries.

OK - just booked our rooms at the Comfort Suites Newport for the Concert! I've been to Riverbend numerous times but, surprisingly, have never tailgated. We've always taken cabs. We are considering tailgating this year. PLEASE ---- WHAT DO WE NEED TO KNOW AND DO???
I know there are lots across from the venue, anyone have more info for us?? This is my boyfriends 3rd JB concert and he's a "Lawn Virgin"! LOL! ANY AND ALL INFO MUCH APPRECIATED!!!

I'm so happy I got tickets to go to this concert!! I'm from Michigan but love to see Buffett at Riverbend whenever possible. I'm going to the one in Detroit too but I'm not happy about the venue change this year so Riverbend is going to be extra awesome! Do you guys party somewhere after? JB Fins maybe?

I just saw some pics of Riverbends new artificial lawn. The lawn area looked like it's pretty much flat now. Did they level it out? How are you supposed to see if there isn't any incline? I haven't been able to get to riverbend for a few years so I haven't seen it lately.

I don't think they changed the incline of the lawn area... just added fake grass. The far right of the lawn (facing the stage) was VERY steep if you just went off the right towards the service road... hopefully they did something there maybe but I have not heard of any change of incline. It would be quite the undertaking if they did given the concrete structures at the back of the grass area. I haven't been to any concerts since the new fake grass, so maybe someone else knows for sure.

4th street live was good times... i'm bad with names but i can usually remember a face but i met lots of people in Louisville during various levels of boat drinks... LOL. Riverbend tailgating is serious business so we will be kicking it up a notch, but it's a marathon not a sprint. I can't wait for Riverbend!
