Yes. But the pre-concert party the night before will be somewhere else, as the Cheeseburger in Paradise is now defunct. So sad. I loved partying there.

Look out. Citcat's getting excited! I really can't commit anytime in the near future (certainly not in time to meet the deadline for club tickets-presuming someone would offer me one)...so will totally have to play this one by ear. I'm already doing my "big" trip for Buffett next month (TEXAS!) so will just have to keep this on the radar and see what happens.

But you are right-we have some trouble to get into!!!!

The Cinci PHC is talking fun in the Newport/Covington area. And hey, if Covington was good enough for Jerry Springer....

Me an the Hubby will be there...got our room booked at the Best Western Clermont and can't wait....I just hope to actually get to meet some of you guys this time!

Our group of 4 will be there! Room booked at Comfort Suites Newport. First time in pavilion for us!

Anybody camping nearby? We are looking at camping near Kings Island, so the women and children can go to the park for the day. It appears that the Kings Island campground is no longer in business, so will probably go with Cedarbrook campground, unless anyone has a better suggestion?

Is there any sort of transportation that runs from the Best Western Clermont to Riverbend and back? Obviously taxis but we don't want to worry about not getting one after the show!

taxi is pretty much the only option, that is unless someone rents a bus.

I live 2 miles from the Best Western (same exit) and took a taxi down to the Coney Entrance; cost me $25 for fare. That was around 2pm and the traffic was not to bad yet. More traffic higher fare. I caught a ride home with friends. Well worth the $25 not to drive down.

There will be some taxis waiting to pick up fares at the road (Kellogg Ave) after the concert.

So sad that Cheeseburger In Paradise is no longer there, I loved the party there the night before the concert. But the pre-party on Aug. 1 is now at J.B. Fins, just across the river in Newport, KY. I looked it up....it's on a barge between a Hooter's and the Beer Sellar and it has a tiki-bar atmosphere. THREE BARS right there together !!!!! And if you want to go to the Reds/Padres game, they have the "Reds Water Shuttle" that takes you to the stadium across the river. The Cincinnati Parrothead club will be at J.B. Fins starting at Happy Hour. They even said something about maybe having a golf tournament in the morning.
People, prepare your liver.
