I'm glad that everyone who went had a good time! I just couldn't get motivated to go.

Sorry we didn't get to see you. The show was a step up from recent years for sure. The tailgate was a step up from last year, but still wasn't what it used to be. The BN presence barely beat last year, I believe, which of course was waaay down from the year before.

Just curious whether the Lube was full or had empty seats again this year?????? [smilie=huh-ani.gif]

Did seem like a great setlist......it's the least JB can do for his "suffering" fans at that venue! :o

Congrats Backstreets!!!!! Delaney, huh? I had campaigned hard for Savannah for one of my girls, but that got nixed.

The place was full. It wasn't sold out, but you wouldn't have known that from looking. There were just a handful of cheap tickets in the back corners of the pavilion that were unsold the morning of the show and small quantities interspersed throughout the expensive seats. Few enough that I'd assume that many would have gotten snatched up the day of the show. I know that's what SurfPirate did. The lawn was crowded like a typical good year. It was nothing like last year. This year felt like a return to the expected. The lots weren't as exciting in the post-6pm time frame that I was there, but it was fun. Although I came late, it seemed like they were being more lax on enforcement in the lots than I would have expected. I'm sure others here could confirm or deny that. The show was really good. I'm glad I went.

I don't know your wife, but I'm surprised it made it past that disclosure. My wife didn't know that was the origin of the name before it was officially dropped, but it would have neeeeever gotten through that obsession point. :D

Talked to my tailgating buddy John a little while ago. He works with a guy who was down front for the show and according to him the Blonde Stranger bunch got brought backstage after the show. I guess Jimmy really, really got a kick out of that.

Who is the Blonde Stranger bunch, she asked in best "blonde" voice?

There was a good sized group, I'll guess 10, who were in the front row or close to it. When Jimmy started Who's the Blonde Stranger, they put on blonde wigs and started dancing. Jimmy was very amused and at one point got one of their wigs and wore it while he was singing. At the end of the song he said "I'd like to thank all of the blondes in the front row. That's an amazing show of choreography and originality."

I didn't get a video of that song and I'm surprised there's not one that I could find on YouTube. I know I got a pic of Jimmy wearing the wig. I'll try to post it when I get home if I remember.
