The Westin. Wednesday night would be better than Thursday night.

For what its worth, Wed is better than Thursday. I've got, go figure, a hockey game on Thusday night. If I'm able to make it out on Wed, I wouldn't be there until later, like post dinner (9PMish). My kid has hockey practice that night. (Yes, recurring theme here...)

Not saying I'm someone you should trust, but I've been pleased with Mango Mike's each time I've been there, maybe 3 or 4 times. I've eaten at some of the area's finer establishments and it certainly doesn't live up to those. It's not as good as a Margaritaville Cafe, but I'm not sure I'd rank it lower than Cheeseburger in Paradise for what little that's worth. Having said that, it has been a few years since I've been, so it could've gone downhill since then. I'd risk it if I was over that way.

Our club has a "meeting" every 1st Wednesday of the month at Mango's. It's to the point where we go and have a few drinks and the go to Los Tolteca for dinner. Really gone down hill in the past year or so. Wait staff is fair at best.

Is the food lousy? I used to like that place and can forgive mediocre service the rare time I'd go there if the food is still acceptable. If the food sucks, then I may have to cross it off my list.

Now it is. Hasn't always been that way. The manager, who we knew really well, has moved to a new location. I know the owner too. I think they have spread themselves too thin. They have a place on the eastern shore, Mangoz and a BBQ place in Del Ray.

Cool! I will TRY TRY TRY to finagle my schedule to get there.

I'd love to come to my first non-concert BN gathering, but I leave for vacation the next morning, so it's pretty unlikely I'd be able to swing it.

I don't think the wife is going to click her heels together if I say "I'm leaving you home with the girls to wrap up the last minute packing while I drive an hour away to go drink with strangers I met on the Internet. Have the kids to bed early so I we can get on the road pronto in the morning." She might laugh in my face, but I doubt she'll happily agree to let me go. I'd bring the girls with me, but if I'm gonna do that, I may as well go sit in the chimp cage at the zoo. It would be equally relaxing. I pick and choose my battles and, sorry BN, I'm gonna need to take a raincheck due to the timing of this one. I know who wears the pants in my house and it's not me.
