i noticed someone mentioned Hanks Oyster Bar earlier in this thread. It seems to get good Yelp reviews.

Going on nothing more than that, should we meet at Hank's Oyster Bar at 7 p.m. on Wednesday?

Maybe this will at least give us a starting point.

IMHO, I don't think there are any must-see's in Alexandria. Short of the obvious places across the river in DC, I'd suggest heading just up the GW Parkway to Arlington National Cemetary, stop by Kennedy's grave and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Walk the shops on Duke street by the water one evening and... well... go into DC for all of the obvious things. Then head north into MD and TP SurfPirate's house while he sleeps.

Maybe not, but we have seen in person a TP'd house across the street from his house. Perhaps it's a neighborhood tradition and it's his turn now?

Hey folks! Sorry I haven't been around. We are having multiple issues with our rental house and we're trying our best to get those addressed. Five hours of yard work yesterday....including 40 bags of mulch. Unfortunately life is getting in the way of our fun!

Please send good thoughts for a possible new renter......who's willing to cut the grass and not make my old neighbors hate us!

We will try to stop by because we're so close but hubby had to take yesterday off and may need to pay the price today.
