Couldn't they remodel and open up some of that property and offer outdoor seating without affecting Duval Street traffic? Something like Fogarty's setup?
It's a historic two story building.

Here's a little history about it: http://www.explorekeywesthistory.com/DS ... l%202.html
That was interesting, thanks. I guess most of Duval might fall into the "historic" category.

I'm actually going down there today. 30% off everything. Hoping to find some cool glassware.

FBF was always my go-to place for my annual KW Christmas ornament...even if I was there in mid-summer. Loved browsing and picking up a wedding gift or two. Rarely bought clothes there, but it was one of my favorite places to shop...there and the art coop.

Hoping like he** they don't open another Bath and Body Works, or a Botega Bag shop or some other upscale trap for the cruisers. Keep it unique, please. :wench:

This is so sad to read. I loved that place when we lived down there. All our holiday gifts came from Freddie's.

Thanks for the link, some cool old pics there. I remember the Kress store back in the early 70's.

I was telling the family about this last night. We realized that we have never actually purchased anything from there but look forward to walking though every time we visit KW. Too bad we won't be able to take one more stroll through.

Last night I was told Margaritaville is expanding into the space as they already own the property.
