But the one that made me laugh out loud was "Head Hurts, etc. done ala a Statler Brothers gospel song. I know a lot of people are sick of this song, but this arrangement is a hoot and worth listening to.

Havana Daydreaming Album
Being a relative noobie when I found Jimmy I started with the yellow album and worked forward. Now I am working backward and have just gotten the Havana Daydreaming album. Gosh, it has a lot of great songs on it.

If I recall correctly, the Oak Ridge boys are the back up singers on it.

Re: Havana Daydreaming Album
In my opinion, the ideal way to be introduced to Buffett's music is to start with the early albums, "White Sport Coat" through "Coconut Telegraph," because these are his best artistic works. For me, there's not one bad song on any of those albums, and I agree that "Havana Daydreamin'" is a great song and album.

That's funny because I did the exact same thing quite a few years back. I fell in love with the yellow album so I worked forward and then started discovering his older works. Love the Havana Daydreaming album.

Thank you. The only quartet I could think of was the Statler Brothers but felt that was not right.sonofabeach wrote:If I recall correctly, the Oak Ridge boys are the back up singers on it.

There is a great story about the set design and lighting director/designer and that set and how long they studied to do that special theatric effect during the Havana Daydreaming Tour.J.LeP wrote:Not to mention one of the best concert stage sets and playlists!

I enjoyed the tour called Havaña Daydreamin' myself but just wanted to clarify that what people are referring to here is a tour that took place years after the album was originally released and wasn't the actual tour that took place when he first toured in support of that record.
Re: Havana Daydreaming Album
Yes, the 1997 Havana daydreaming tour with Stumpo El Bando and One Ton Tomato.

I'm pretty sure that was the last time I saw Buffett in concert. Not sure about everywhere else but here he opened with "Makin' Music For Money".
