Today seemed to be the right day for me to start hedging on GW dates. The last four years he has played GW a Saturday in June so I just book a hotel at the Red Roof Inn for every weekend in June to have me covered . Rates are/were at $80.99 with AAA discount when I booked. The easy cancellation policy makes it no risk!

For what it is worth ..... the only weekend in June that did NOT have rooms available with direct 1st floor pool access (AKA the party rooms) were on the weekend of June 21-23.. which coincidentally is the same June weekend he has played GW in the past several years. Hmmmmmmm .. who gobbled them up? Let the speculation commence

I think the usual suspects have those rooms locked up for the whole month Tam, C-Dawg etc. Nothing like thinking ahead.

June has five weekends this year...I booked rooms for the last three.

Larry is not stupid. He realizes that Jimmy only has 20 - 25 more years of playing Great Woods and he won't miss any of them. We are entering the final stretch. Jimmy Buffett's 2038 farewell tour will be here before we know it.

I'm starting to pay attention to dates now, guys, and if I can swing a trip to New England in the summertime, I'd like to come up, but it's doubtful. Airfare is the first hurdle, but the second, bigger hurdle is time off work. We shall see, though. I'd love to come up to GW again!

Can't tell you why but I am sort of hoping for a late August show . . . I prefer to end my summers with Jimmy around New England as opposed to starting them. Whenever he plays Great Woods, however, I will be there and party my left nut off (it regrows anually) and love every second of it. But those late August nights really feel right.

I do realize that late August is tougher for our beloved Grill Master Moose. But I bet he would enjoy a non-working tailgate once in a while, too. Either way, sure wish JB would mix it up, something other than Fathers Day weekend.

I get the logistics of moving the tour around - thanks, Tommy!

But he can always start out west and move east, can't he? TX in early May, move West then Midwest, and end up in the East. Labor Day at GW and then Mohegan around Columbus Day or Thanksgiving.
