So I"m thinking that the hotels already know when the concert is - and since Comcast mentioned on FB that Jimmy would be back it makes sense. Comfort Inn is $96 a night for the weekend of June 14 - for the next weekend it's $160! They must be getting wise to how we play this.

Ironically, I think the Red Roof was vice versa as far as cost and dates. But I do have to admit, after 4 hours of sleep, the Comcast FB post did put a smile on my face.

I just looked. The Roof is more the same weekend as the Comfort Inn. is it Buffett inflation or something brewing in Foxboro.

No just bummer about the rate change -- neither rain nor snow nor gloom of night could keep me from JB @ GW now that I have seen the Promised Land! Actually 6/21 is Mike's birthday, so that would be really fun. AND usually summer solstice, so it could be a BEAUTIFUL night! We will be making reservations @ RR this weekend like the rest of you! My luck it will be on the 22nd of June, my Saturday to work, so I will have to ask someone to switch Saturdays like last year.

we have 3 weekends at the RR booked -- all at the AAA (NO -- NOT AARP) rate of $81 per night.

I'm going back to reserve the weekend of June 7-8 (just in case).

Just made mine for the 21-23, next is the 14-16. I'm just not going to pay the extra for the Comfort Inn, it's ridiculous

You don't need to , they just announced that Dispatch & Guster (whoever that is) will be there on Sat the 8th.
I can't get the 14-16 to come up on the RR site - it keeps changing it to this weekend! And when I call I get put on hold and then it cuts off.
Really Red Roof, you aren't a good enough hotel to have crappy service besides.

So we now know it's not Sat the 29th either, Tim McGraw is there that night.

already did and since there's no cancellation fee until after 6:00 p.m. on arrival date I'll just hang on to the reservations until the JB tour dates come out (if we didn't have bad luck, we'd have none at all )

now to start thinking of reservations for the Cape!
