Who's going to Great Woods 6-22-2013!!??

I didn't understand the problem when the thread was started last year and i don't understand the problem this year. It's for people who are interested in talking about it. We came up with some ideas on how to make next year even better and they are things that will take time and discussion to implement - and as we plan new events, more people may decide to make plans to come. Who are we hurting and what forum rules are we breaking by having this thread? Other than that Jen's post is spot on, it's about more than a concert but since that's the central theme that's the title for the thread. We don't make it exclusive either, it's clear that newbies are always welcome, that's why the crowd keeps getting bigger. Color me confused.

Exactly! If we didn't talk about it, and share our plans as the excitement was building, who knows if the crowd would have been so big. Pam, you should have seen our heads hung low when we left the Eventide. It is hard to say goodbye! We are family, having a family reunion.

If we hadn't had the beach day this would have been one of my worst cases of PCL ever. The good news is we have other plans this summer that will bring many of us together again.

And by the way, when I see a thread title that doesn't interest me, or that's about a concert in a city I don't intend on going to, I don't open the thread. It's a skill that's easily mastered.

There is no current tour date for 2013
There is no rumor of one.
Kinda hard to have a Pre-Concert Gathering if there's no concert.

Is there any good reason that this couldn't remain open in the Social area for the year?

This exact idea was suggested yesterday (below) and shot down by a different mod. So are you saying this is now an option?

I think I can speak for everyone and say we don't care where the thread lives we just want it somewhere were we can congregate. Here or there is fine, if people don't care or are sick of reading about GW they can simple take Larry's suggestion.

Can we just have the thread moved like last year?

Well, respectfully, no. Please just hang on a few months, then start making plans when the show is announced like all the rest of us do. Thanks!

We do sooo much in a few short days, felt like a week! I think I need a week to recover... but would have rathered recovered on the beach with my BN family!

The 'move' in question when originally asked was to the "Tour Dates and Rumors" forum, not the Social. Y'all can plan away there, until the show is announced for 2013, and we'll move it back to the WGT Forum.

The thread in no way is offensive. Just trying to keep threads where they should be. And that goes with ANY thread started on this board. Thanks much.
