I'm still kinda skeptical about the whole d*mn thing. . .but if it does turn out to be legit, that will be a whole different story.

I wonder if PHNY can explain who these people are and if they actually publish a magazine and how long it's been in action. I figure that's the impt detail right now. No Maggie no Tickey...A Parrot in the hand is better than two in the Bush....did I jus' say that? I got it from a friend of mine in the PR business at one of the clubs that there's a guy working the businesses trying to solicit money for ads he doesn't quite seem to publish...could this be the same guy?

Just to give you some insight on the deal. I have been told Jimmy get's these kinds of awards all the time and mainly it's to promote the magazine in hopes that HE will actually show up.
The did hire the PM band. Haven't heard anything about the Sauce Boss ,but the fact is I was told my a liable source Jimmy will not be there.

I'd rather go to a REAL JB show with a REAL magazine like Time, Spin, Entertainment Weekly or something like that. Startin' to sound more and more like a April Fools Day joke.

Hope this doesn't turn out to be the biggest hoax yet !! and I will personally be out $200, not to mention the egg on my face!! Don't know anymore than what was posted on the Peter Mayer website. These details were emailed to me and that is when I jumped on the bandwagon -without checking it out- I am embarrassed to add. Began to think the whole thing is a hoax when I heard that Jimmy wouldn't be attending. Obviously his people did some checking and found out that there is NO magazine at the moment known as "Floridays". They are hoping to have the first edition in print within a few weeks !! Now for my take on the whole thing. IMHO, this is a publicity stunt to somehow coincide with the launch of this magazine. They did hire Peter Mayer and his group as well as the Sauce Boss. That is where it stands at the moment. I hope somehow they can pull it off!! Then maybe I won't feel like I fell for the biggest April Fools Joke!

The event has added Dickey Betts and moved the date to May 14, same place, different day!

It doesn't sound right, sounds like somehow this magazine's not for real in the long run. That's how it really sounds and even if they do bump it up to May, the chances of it actually happening are pretty nil. According to some sources, the guy behind this has a track record of appearing and then disappearing. But, hey, it's a living.
