Who's Goin' to Seattle Key Arena October 23, 2012??

OK....one of us had to start this..... Hmmmm.... My office is about 3 blocks from Key Arena......The parking lot is indoors and would make a great party Tailgate hang out..........Hmmmm Grog anyone?!?!?!?!?

I have a cousin and a friend in Seattle, and a daughter in Vancouver BC, so maybe it's time for another West Coast tour, this one where I actually cross the border, and meet Grog!

In case I decide to throw caution, and my wallet, to the wind, can any of the locals recommend reasonably priced hotels in the general area of the arena?

I take this as a sign! My daughter moves to Seattle..and- for the first time since 1988, Jimmy schedules a show there! Do I need an excuse to go visit her for the first time??

Homewood Suites.....(206) 281-9393 4-5 blocks to venue
Hampton inn and suites ....(206) 282-7700 same distance different direction
Anything in the downtown core.... W hotel is nice, the Monoco, the four seasons, the Hilton....all in easy taxi or walk to the monorail and take it to Seattle Center (where the Key is) ....check to see if it is running after hours....

I would avoid the hotels in the triangle bounded by Denny, Aurora and Broad street......I stayed in one of those about 10 years ago and the hooker in the alley was very vocal until the gun shots.....

or car backfiring...

...didn't stick my head out the window to find out.....

The local sports talk radio station (KJR 950) had a contest today for JB tickets. (Probably not coincidently, they belong to Clear Channel Communications, as does Ticketba$tard.) The question was "What is the name of Jimmy Buffett's beer?" "Since we're a sports talk station, here's a hint... a baseball stadium in Florida had the same name a couple of years ago."

Hmmm..... I know that they called Dolphin's stadium "Landshark".... I didn't know they extended it to Marlins Park!

Marlins Park just opened this year, before that the Marlins and Dolphins used to play in the same stadium.

I know they played in the same stadium, but I didn't think they used the Land Shark name when the Marlins were in the house. I thought it was just the Dolphins, due to JB's association with Stephen Ross.
