Let's make the Giants irrelevant and then kick Dallas ass (again) in game 16aeroparrot wrote:Holy crap, Redskins in first place ahead of the Giants, and yes I know it's only because of the division record but still....? Wow, I would never have believed it if you told me this in September.

and win this division outright.
Even though I have publicly decried this football season, and am hoping to soon find out I am in a JJ Abrams series and this is the purgatory created by my mind after I left the island, it still felt good to beat the Steelers last night.Saltx3 wrote:surfpirate wrote:Let's make the Giants irrelevant and then kick Dallas ass (again) in game 16aeroparrot wrote:Holy crap, Redskins in first place ahead of the Giants, and yes I know it's only because of the division record but still....? Love it. Could have been this:Saltx3 wrote:surfpirate wrote:Let's make the Giants irrelevant and then kick Dallas ass (again) in game 16aeroparrot wrote:Holy crap, Redskins in first place ahead of the Giants, and yes I know it's only because of the division record but still....? That is EXACTLY what it is. Methinks we have some good "new" days to look forward to. (Don't say it too loud though-don't want to jinx us!)Hockey Mon wrote:Love it. Jan. 22, 1983, NFC Championship Game at RFK Stadium, the Redskins defeated the Cowboys to earn a trip to Super Bowl XVII. Prior to the game the stadium physically shook as a capacity crowd of 54,000 chanted "We Want Dallas!"
The good old days.
This, of course, depends on your definition of perfect.LIPH wrote:In a perfect world, Dallas loses to New Orleans Sunday, Washington loses to Dallas the following week and the Giants win their last 2 games. The Giants win the NFC East, Dallas and Washington go home for the winter.

The year my high school football team went 0-10 could beat those two teams.LIPH wrote:Were those 2 high school teams masquerading as NFLers last night? What a pathetic display by both teams. The Jests gave the game away, the Titans did their best to give it right back to them but, out of character for NYers, the Jests politely refused. And what's up with Jermy Kerley? When the Jests drafted him, one of the things they were saying about him was that he was a real good punt returner. The Titans punted 10 times last night. Kerley called for 9 fair catches. When your offense is as pitiful as the Jests, you should be trying to make something happen with special teams. At least Joe McKnight has some stones on kickoff returns, he runs almost everything back.
