And Aaron Rogers, statistically, has been better than Brady for his career. Give him time, he'll catch up on Super Bowls.

I know that you know that I am mostly joking. Obviously, Rogers is an elite QB and GB is lucky to have him. The only negative about Rogers is that he had to wait for Favre to finally man up and move on from WI . . . which took atleast two seasons too long.
I consider Brady to be if not the best QB - atleast one of the top five QBs of all time and in the top three in the last 30 years. I could easily argue the he is # overall in the history of the NFL. Until 2007 he never had a legit number 1 WR (Branch was the closest). After 2007 he set records. He wins games. He does it by not playing in the comfort of a dome and has made every player that has come through New England since 2001 better (Ochocinco might be a stretch here but atleast his attitude was good). I firmly believe that Brady has atleast one Super Bowl win left in him and I believe that this year is as good a chance as he will get. I wonder what would've been if Gronk was healthy last year but I digress. All systems are ago for 2013 . . . I predict a GB v. NE Superbowl which will result, if nothing else, in Jim and Jon getting combined more drunk then any two people in the history of the world.
the hit and run is as good as any religion around this time of year . . .

And I am, too. They are both great. But in Favre's defense, his last season in GB was one of the best of his career. He didn't move on because it wasn't time to. And even ARodg will tell you that he is glad he got to wait before becoming a starter. He wasn't really ready before then.drunkpirate66 wrote: I know that you know that I am mostly joking. Funny, the same arguments that were made for Favre for years. Never had anyone who was close to great. A couple of "goods" only, in Freeman and Brooks. Rodgers has been lucky in that regard.drunkpirate66 wrote: I consider Brady to be if not the best QB - atleast one of the top five QBs of all time and in the top three in the last 30 years. I think the Pats need to be worried a bit about underestimating their opponents. I know that their fans are. Nobody seems to think they can lose....but remember, this team has already lost to 3 teams that are still in the playoffs, while only beating 2. They played a weak schedule this year...they might not be as good as you think. They also lost to the Cardinals. And that draws a "wow".drunkpirate66 wrote: I firmly believe that Brady has atleast one Super Bowl win left in him and I believe that this year is as good a chance as he will get. We agree 100%. Somewhere I posted that whomever won the Seattle vs. Washington game last weekend should be considered a very serious contender (possible favorite) to be the NFC representative.Wino you know wrote:My picks this weekend:

If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.
Life is short, live long!!
I'd rather be a wiseass than a dumbass.

Thing is, I don't think AR would have turned out as good in SF. The system was different, his ability to take the time to develop, better receivers. It's all helped make him the best QB in the league. He's had a record setting TD-Int ratio over his first 5 years as a starter....best 5 year stretch in history.

NO CAL loves AR! He's been amazing to his high school and jr college. Have not heard what he's done for Cal. It will be a fun game to watch In a unique way, we can't loose. The game could end up, "The Humbling of Harbaugh!"CaptainP wrote:Yeah. McCarthy has gotten over it.Tequila Revenge wrote:This is a statement game for AR. Please hire a GM, Jerry Jones.
That link is a pretty good read on what's going on at Valley Ranch. I fear I'll be in a nursing home somewhere before Dallas does anything worthwhile again. Jerry will live forever.

I knew this girl made of memories and phrases, who lived her whole life in both chapters and stages.
Danced 'til the dawn, wished all her worries away.
She's a long way from a West Nashville grand ballroom gown.

Beginning of the season, this was the local Sports Talk radio station's take on Russell Wilson:

Needless to say, they've really changed their tune!

Funny thing I saw was Peter King stating that JJ would have fired the GM by now if that person has had the same success rate as JJ has had.maid memories wrote:Please hire a GM, Jerry Jones.

Tommy, I agree with you on Houston, but only to the point that they'll make the game closer than expected. Still think the Pats win, but the Texans are not a walkover like everyone seems to think.TommyBahama wrote:Atlanta ( family friend is married to Director of player personnel )
