Buffalo 2013
Jimmy please come to Buffalo next year, Art Park is a great venue, so is Darien Lake. If Boise can get a show Buffalo should be considered.

I'm about as far away from Buffalo as I can be and still be in the same state. I think I'd like to keep it that way.
what I really mean . . . I wish you were here

It's closer for me to cut through a foreign country to drive to Buffalo than to take U.S. interstates. And I just checked, I'm still closer to Buffalo than you are.LIPH wrote:I'm about as far away from Buffalo as I can be and still be in the same state. I think I'd like to keep it that way.

Re: Buffalo 2013
We have been having a really nice summer, average temp has been around 50. We also have 16 Buffett fans here, give or take a few. Anyway since we only have 16 fans and our weather is always cold I should be able to get front row without any trouble.

Darien Lake??? OMG, that is quite possibly the WORST concert venue in the history of concert venues. Bad sound, bad sightlines, screens that don't work, horrendous traffic, $13 beers, Police checkpoints, no campers...I could go on & on, but I won't. It makes Bristow seem like a tailgating paradise. Don't come to Darien Lake, Jimmy. A different venue? Hell, yeah!! I'll pick you up at the airport!
Only problem is, if Jimmy does come to Buffalo, do you know how many people I need to host a party for???

So, if Mac is playing Niagara Falls, NY, on January 25, does that mean anything for Jimmy's schedule?

Re: Buffalo 2013
A Buffalo show would be awesome. There's actually a good amount of parrotheads here, generally we end up in Pittsburgh or Toronto to see shows.
If he could fill the Ralph - and I think he could - that would be one epic show. It's without a doubt one of the best tailgating venues I've ever been to. Ample room for everyone, the stadium lots open early, and the satellite lots even earlier. People can start camping out days early like people do for Bills games.
On a way smaller scale, the new Harbor venue would be a picture-perfect place for a Buffett concert. They were able to hold 15,000 people this summer, but said they could hold more if they opened the lawn further back. I think they could hold around 20,000 if they maximized the space. It's an all-lawn venue right on the waterfront - including dock access (would have to be there way early), so you could boat to the show or watch the show from a boat.

People would come from all over from this. Would easily attract people from Western & Central NY, Southern Ontario, and Northern PA.
Darien Lake is a sucky sucky sucky sucky venue.
