The 50 Richest Lead Singers in the World

Post by FunkHouse9 »

"Who are the richest lead singers in the world? The vocalists on this list have sung for bands like The Beatles, Metallica, Guns N’ Roses and The Rolling Stones to name a few. But which lead singer is also the lead money maker?"

Of course JB is on the list, especially with the benefit of the Margaritaville empire. Before you look at it, take a guess.

-How much is Bubba worth?
-What place does that put him on the list?
-What singer(s) are worth more than he is? (He's not #1)

I guess I'd rather be further down on the living list than at the top of the dead list.

Only 3 Americans in the top 10.

What's funny is Axl Rose is #15 and is a total tard who hasn't done anything worthwhile in ages.

Gwen Stefani is the first woman on the list at #27 (and out-earns her Hubby).

I'm reading the Slash autobiography right now. I'm about half way through and he has said remarkably little about Axl so far. Mostly indications of being very isolated, even from the other band members, having a hard time grasping social norms and a true inability to understand the repercussions his actions have on others.

I saw the new GNR as recently as several months ago and Axl was great, but he certainly is showing his age in concert. Still a great performer though.

No country stars listed.

I wonder how Garth Brooks and some others would factor in.

Very good point. Garth would have to be on that list. No way he's worth less than 10 million.

Doesn't it say richest "lead" singers? Garth had a band but he was always billed as just Garth Brooks, not Garth Brooks and the whatever band. I didn't see Madonna, Beyonce or Lady Gagme on that list either and I'm sure they're worth more than some of the people on the list.

I don't know enough about these two to be sure about this, but if that's the case wouldn't Rod Stewart and David Bowie be off the list?

Rod Stewart was in Faces and The Jeff Beck Group. I was never a Bowie fan so I don't know about him.

Very little of Rod Stewarts wealth come from the two groups listed. Basically this article was just R&R bands and it looks like it wasn't researched all that much outside of how much the particular person was worth.

Back to my OP I'd be interested in some country numbers, Brooks&Dunn, Rascal Flatts, Dixie Chicks, Taylor Swift although it would be hard to distinguish group money from individual income without deeper numbers. I'll bet Kenny Rogers made some serious money he spent on bad marriages.

those in the know country muic wise, say garth has sold at least 250 million cds/albums. therefore, do the math. also, garth retired a few years ago to watch his 3 daughters grow up. currently, he does a 1 man show at least once a month in vegas for steve wynn.

4 shows a week, 2 on Saturday and 2 on Sunday, charging $250 per ticket and they look to be selling very, very well.

Because what Lady Gagme does is not actually considered music. That is why she/he can't be on the list.
Did you hear the one about me being a punk?
