for those of you who are tiger fans of long standing...1975 and beyond, you may remember ..jack pierce. his obit sems to imply that he played only 1 season for the tigers, i thought it was longer. jack was from san jose, ca. i did not know him personally and never met him, but did read about him in the paper and perhaps the sporting news. jack passed away recently after surgery. he was 63 years old.
