"Quiet About It" a Tribute to Jesse Winchester

Post by phjrsaunt »

Just got it yesterday. Some songs are better than other (the one Rosanne Cash covers is kind of "foreboding" with the heavy drum beat in the background) BUT

Mac sings "Defying Gravity" though, and OH EM GEE. One of the most beautiful songs in the world to begin with and the way he sings it is just lovely. I hardly recognized his voice in fact.

My two cents.... have a very fruitful day! :D

I just got the CD today. Agree about Mac. I didn't know he could sing those high notes. I also like Little Feat covering Rhumba Man.

I just read that Jesse Winchester has had a bad bout with the flu and has cancelled his shows. I see there are some for next year still on the schedule. Praying for Jesse to feel good enough to get back on the road when he's ready.

Enjoying Quiet About It a lot.
