Sandy, Turn Right!
In anticipation of Sandy's landfall somewhere on the east coast, I'm stocked up with propane, charcoal, and beer.
Anybody else making plans for Sandy's arrival?

rum, tequilla, gin, JUMBIE, Ginger Beer, tonic water, etc., etc.
Seriously, we are more worried about the power going out which turns off the sump pump, which causes water to come into the basement which is not a good thing with the house going back on the market on Tuesday

Re: Sandy, Turn Right!
I hate saying this, but turning LEFT may help some people who are are out work get some jobs. I know its a bad thing to say, but the line of work I am in, we pray for this stuff, because it fuels our work.
Did you hear the one about me being a punk?
Did you hear the one about me being a drunk?
Did you hear the one about me losing my nerve?
Or how I'm just another f**** sheep in the herd?
Did you hear the one about me giving a s***?
Cause if I ever did I don't remember it.

Re: Sandy, Turn Right!
OK 3 things:
1. Be Safe.
2. Put your sump pump on a generator when the power goes (I have a similar issue, only it is the bedrooms which go under).
3. What is a JUMBIE?
In all seriousness - be careful and check in here afterwards. (Check in so we know where the post party will be)

Wind is up to 35 and gusting, rainfall approaching the 4'' mark, but the power's still on, basement's dry, holding tight.
