2013 Jimmy Buffett Tour Bathroom Break Concerns/Strategy

Post by drunkpirate66 »

I have been to over 70 Jimmy Buffett concerts and I have never once been able to make it through then entire show (even with intermission) without at least one trip to the communal trough. Now that Jimmy Buffett has finally sold off on the Cheeseburger and Paradise thing I have legitimate concerns that he will stop playing the corresponding piece of sh*t song live. If Jimmy Buffett finally punts CIP from the set list ( [smilie=coolup.gif] ) will I have to make it through an entire set list without urinating? I know I am not alone here. Millions of Parrot Heads rely on CIP to take a break and drain the main vein every summer across the United States and parts of Canada. I think it is time to strategize. I nominate 5 O' Clock Somewhere as the 2013 Jimmy Buffett Tour Pee Song. :D Time to start a new tradition. Don't take this thread lightly. What say you fellow bingers?

Many won't agree with me, but mine would be "Brown Eyed Girl" or "Southern Cross".. [smilie=beadygrinner.gif]

Can't go wrong with a cover. :pirate:

I would be happy if he played A1A and called it a night.

If you're really lucky, he'll string 2 bathroom break songs together. That way if the line is long or it takes longer than usual to drain the dragon you won't miss anything.

Wow. My mind is blown. Good thinking. Will buy you a Landshark for that one! You've earned it. 5 O' Clock and Volcano back to back before Intermission. Life would be grand.

Hmmm valid point. CIP has always been my pee song. I need to think about this. Though, I have to admit I actually listened to CIP on my iPod the other day and enjoyed it. I guess skipping it on my iPod for so many years actually gave me some tolerance to listen to it again. Probably another 6 years until ill listen to it again lol. Though, I did enjoy the land of a 1000 this year. I still peed during it. I guess my go to now would be any nadirah song before intermission!

Fins up!

Now that we've determined what song, we all need to partner up with a concert buddy so we'll have somebody to go with. We don't like going alone, you know.

I tried the "wait till Nadirah sings" strategy one year and missed "Stranded on a Sandbar". Really bummed but relieved.

I've been to one show, at Alpine Valley (2009).  I had gotten a seat beneath the pavilion (as an aside, with the weather we had that night — cold and rainy — my seat was worth every nickel I paid for it) but in my opinion the restroom facilities left a lot to be desired as the nearest ones were located halfway back up the hill.  Even if you select a single song for a 'pee break' you could still lose a lot of time 'in transit', as it were.

Therefore, desperate situations call for desperate measures.  One could always fall back on the space-age solution — "astronaut diapers", officially known as "Maximum Absorbency Garments" or MAGs.  Available for both males and females.

If you go before heading to your seat is a bathroom break even necessary? The concert rarely, if ever, exceeds two hours.

Not an issue if you're dehydrated after slaving on a hot grill all day.....
