christmas wishes?

Post by ragtopW »

OK we are all adults now and by and large can get our own Stuff. for the most part.

do you have a secret wish (or two) that is not a "thing" ? please share

mine are as follows. (and yes If I tried I could " provide the first for myself but haven't " )
the second? I would have to adopt a family (or a large group of friends)

a date for New Years eve

a traditional English Christmas (with St Stevens day and all)
the Dinner: the Goose. Plum Pudding the whole thing

you?

We had a goose dinner one Christmas. Had to special order it from the butcher. It was delicious. Mr. Lime used to be a professional chef. 8) If you like duck you would like goose. Didn't do the plum pudding or any of that though.
You only have two options - havin' fun or freakin' out...

I have hunted all my life. we haven't harvested a goos in years but when I was young we at it several times a year..

But It's down to my Parents and I for the Holidays, and the whole dinner would be a production (also the Beer, wine and Whiskey would not be allowed)

Beer, Wine, and Whiskey are all needed for the Holidays. With our family, not really that much beer unless us cousins have a few early on. But later on it is usually about 7 or 8 bottles of wine at least and always a bottle of Bailey's after dinner while we all sit back and digest the food we all ate ( which once again after a many year drought, we will be having homemade Ravioli's again.)
Did you hear the one about me being a punk?
Did you hear the one about me being a drunk?
Did you hear the one about me losing my nerve?
Or how I'm just another f**** sheep in the herd?
Did you hear the one about me giving a s***?
Cause if I ever did I don't remember it.

But what I would really like for Christmas is a drama-free woman. Notice how I did not say girl, I would prefer someone a lil older. Someone who doesn't mind going out for drinks on the weekend, and one who likes to go watch football at Noon on Sundays.

Good grammar and punctuation
Magically lose lots of weight
No calories in wine, beer, and vodka
Laundry that does itself
Hockey to return
Broncos to win the Super Bowl
No more political crap, ever
I could quit my job and become a chef

I might not mind a big New Years' Eve weekend away bash with my wonderful husband Kevin aka PA Parrot. Maybe somewhere warm?

I would also wish that both our children would stay safe & healthy and find fulfillment in their lives as they grow in their young adult years.

I cherish the time I have with my folks right now because I know someday soon, they won't be here anymore.

I wish I could bring together all my friends from my various "circles". I wish could all hang out together for a couple of weeks and really get to know each other. I just know that all the wonderful people in my life would love each other. What joy that would bring me!

(((Beautiful Mal)))
The depth of the loss is a testament to the love you had......when you need her, just talk to her. She's there...and I KNOW it's no where near the same, not even a fraction.....but just close your eyes and remember her hug, her smell, her voice, her infinite love for you.

I miss my Mom so much that sometimes it's physically painful....but she is present in my life in the way I love, the way I "MOM"......she still makes me laugh and she still brings me peace when I need it.
