iPad People - Favorite apps?

Post by buffettbride »

I'm managing a project at work where we're providing iPads to our sales organization. Any suggestions on fun, semi-professional apps that would be good to preload? Looking for free/cheap... Or maybe some podcast suggestions. I'm putting some Ted Talks stuff on there.

Thoughts/suggestions?

I don't hav an ipad, but have an iphone. I assume most apps available for one are available for the other.

don't know how "fun" it is but I have one called "the converter" which I use frequently.

liters/gallons
meters/yards

It converts all sorts of stuff. and I never remember how many pints in a gallon, etc.

If these people travel, Gate Guru is great.

Cozi is a must have for me as a personal calendar, shopping list, etc. If you share your account with others (spouse, family etc) they can edit on the run. My wife can add something to the grocery list and I access it with my phone when I'm at the store and check the items off as I go.

Flipboard, Evernote, Dropbox (you could create a company account), Calculator, Read it later, Converter,Flight+, Hotel tonight, Hipmunk,

Be advised however that you need to register and download Apps with an AppleID. When one of your salespersons already has such an id it would be wise to use his existing id. Otherwise if he later wants to sync his new Ipad with his iTunes account it will be less easy for him.

I think maybe easiest would be to just hand them out with some App recomendations.
