Thinking of Alpine while watching snowflakes fly outside my window.

Does anyone think the tailgate will get back to what it used to be like 10-15 years ago? Seems to be getting more PG in last few years.

Haven't really noticed this. Maybe it was because I was too engrossed watching a drunk topless chic pleasure herself on a rubber dildo two years ago in front of everyone. You must be in the wrong end of the lot every year.

Last year Jimmy was in Chicago on June 30th. He will typically play Chicago and Alpine a month or so apart to try and double dip the fan bases. Chicagoans will travel to the home show and Alpine. So while he could play Alpine on the 29th it will likely be contingent on when he can lock up a Chicago date. Chicago is available on the 29th at First Midwest - which is where he is rumored to be returning for the next few years.

I'm in Mexico on 6/29th so frankly I'd hope he doesn't play anywhere near Chicago/Alpine on the 29th. I will lose that bet but which city will get the 29th remains to be seen. IF I'm completely wrong thats even better.

Didn't make it last year but ever since they started charging for the tailgate, it seems to cut out the rowdy crowd without a ticket. They seemed to be the most fun to watch.

My theory is that things may have simmered down with the birth of the camera phone with instant upload capabilities to the internet. Someone taking a few snapshots on their point and shoot camera was one thing . . . instant appearance on the internet totally changed that ballgame?

My thoughts exactly. Social media and technology have changed the game. I got "reprimanded" by the Facebook police for some of the parking lot pictures I posted a few years ago.

Tour name and dates seem to be creeping out much earlier than last year.. hopefully an Alpine date comes along soon as well!

One can only hope all dates are made available soon . . . .and that Jackson Browne hangs out the whole tour too.

Has anyone been to a Jimmy concert in the Carolina's? Are the tailgates as good as Alpine or more like Chicago?
