I'll help Garry! The Loons are affiliated with the Dodgers.
We don't get to see our players much when they advance, since the major league team I love and follow is the Tigers and they are AL not NL. However some of our players have been traded to the AL and we get a chance to see them. Cleveland's catcher is a former Loon.

THANK YOU, NANCY!
Your post did it.
It takes less time to watch Ben Hur than for me to scroll down that page with this phone. Dind't think we'd EVER get to page 10. Thank you, sweetie.

Okay, so tell me-doesn't Cleveland have a Class A team in Lake County ?
I'm not up on all the new Midwest League affiliations yet this year.

I just learned that Bronson Arroyo has never missed a start. He has successfully made 177 minor league starts and 324 MLB starts. I find that quite impressive.

AND he's from Key West.

Never a good sign when your #'s 3-4-5 hitters are all hurt. Brewers are down Hart, Braun, and Ramirez. It's 5 games in. Ugh.

And now Jean Segura is hurt too.

Now would be a good time for your Brewers to play the Cubs, Jim.
Watching Carlos Marmol save a game for the Cubs is like watching a slow motion train wreck.

Slow motion? No...Marmol melts down quickly...

How bad is the Brewers injury situation?
Today, with 2 outs in the 11th, tying run on 3rd, they had to send Kyle Lohse (a pitcher) up to pinch hit. Yes they lost.

Well, C.C. Sabathia now has more wins than I do this year.

What's up with Roy Halladay? He looked awful against the Mets last night, Matt Harvey looked like the All-Star instead of Halladay.

2,700 innings pitched in the majors is up.

So Posey was at the Plate when the Pitcher Balked in a run, is that an RBI?

It's probably the same as a run scoring on a wild pitch or passed ball. The run didn't result from any action by the batter so no RBI.

Sadly, it doesn't count as an "earned" run vs his ERA. You'd think that since it was his own fault, it would hurt his stats....

Same thing with pitcher's errors. They can chuck it into right field and it won't hurt their pitching stats (depending on how the rest of the inning went).

The Mets were supposed to play the Twins Sunday, they got snowed out. They were supposed to play the Rockies yesterday, they got snowed out. This is the
baseball season, isn't it?

I'm a little late catching up, so......
Biggio got screwed. Bagwell did too. Bonds, McGwire, Sosa, and anyone else who have done PED's can go to hell. No Hall, ever. Period. (kills me, as I'm a Cubs fan from way back) Biggio's situation particularly p*** me off, as I saw him come up through AAA ball with the Tucson Toros. Loved watching him play.
Go Keys!!!!!! (single A Orioles)
Go Suns!!!!! (low A Nationals)
Love minor league ball.
A-Rod (apart from that being an idiotic thing to call a grown man) has been overpaid and under-talented since he came up. I was out of baseball for quite a few years.....has he EVER played up to his paycheck?? He should ask that clinic for a refund, 'cause if that's enhanced, I have a shot at the show.
Nationals are having a rough start, but we'll see. It's a long season. Would love to see them go all the way.
