She apparently took her own life this evening. I'd always hoped she'd get cleaned up and come out on the other side of her struggles.

Suicide is so heartbreaking to me.

I don't follow country music enough to know how troubled she was. But reports are she shot her dog and herself. I am not ok with her shooting her own dog. Don't take the life of something innocent.

I think that just goes to show how troubled she was. She'd just been released from an inpatient facility and probably thought the dog wouldn't have anybody to care for it.

Scares me to think what she would have done if her kids had been there.

I am not at all familiar with this person, but it sounds like she was finally successful at something she has been meaning to do for a long time.

Sucks for her kids, but I read her bio and she has tried to kill herself at least once a year for several years.

I agree. I lost an uncle, who was also my godfather, to suicide. He was a very kind and gentle man. He just could not find his place in this world. Sadness for her and for her boys, all of the loved ones she left behind, regardless of her issues.

Turns out it was the boyfriend's dog. Classy move. I've already waisted enough time with her and her drama...Next.

10 or so years ago, the animal hospital I worked in killed herself and her 5 dogs...yes I said 5. She left a note that essentially said that no one could take care of her dogs like she could. So she made sure no one would even have the chance to prove her wrong.

Her children weren't in the house, thankfully. They'd been removed from her custody and put into foster care. I shudder to think what might have happened if they'd been there.
