Loves music and loves hanging out with mom and dad on the weekend. Are peoples opinions the same or would being 'twice' the age of the 2 year old make a difference>?
Same answer for me. Get a babysitter. Have fun. Tailgate and have some adult fun. Go play catch the next day. Save the money for college and beer money at said college.
Linda! Are ya comin' to GW this year?? Must agree with you on this one. Grownup fun is a good thing, take it from the olds, leave the kids at home and take a break. Or stay home and take them to Chuckie Cheese. Or do what you want, take them to the tailgate, but have realistic expectations of the adults who are enjoying themselves all around you. In other words, do not expect those of us who have raised our kids to adjust our behavior to your tots. Love them, they are cute. And if I am invited to their birthday parties I promise to behave accordingly. Not so much at a Buffett tailgate. And I am the loving mommy of four sons ...
We are attempting to have the tickets gods smile on us this morning. And the baby girl (

who graduates from Boston College May 21) wants to join us!

Is that your lovely daughter who was with you last year? If so, I totally enjoyed spending time with her. She is gracious and personable, just like her momma!

Don't listen to the negative people. It is not Ozzfest. The answer to your question is yes 2 and under is free and I have brought my daughter to many shows. Until they turn 3 kids are free. She was a hit a buffett. And every time we go with my daughter parants tend to sit around us and there are always tons of kids there. Never had and issue, but then I again I dont freak out about others doing there thing as long as my daughter is physically safe. I can always move.

Physically safe is what we were all addressing. The lawn is not a safe place for a toddler, especially if it happens to rain and it turns into a giant human slip and slide. To say nothing of the press in the dark when it's over. Even being carried by an adult is dicey out there. We're not negative, we're being realistic about how much the parents will enjoy a show out on the lawn while trying to keep a small child from being stepped on.

And the Darwin Awards for parents of the year go to.... You guessed it, this nimrod^^^^^
Do everyone around you a favor and don't bring your small child to a concert. Guaranteed that nobody thinks they are nearly as cute as you do and all they do will end up causing a distraction to people around you by constantly talking, running about and just being a nuisance in general. Why would you even consider taking a child that young to a concert? Maybe you like them inhaling all the bud wafting through the air? Maybe it mellows them out and shuts them up? They sure as hell aren't enjoying the music and in a few years will have exactly zero memories of the show. Not to mention I'm sure the experience does wonders for their developing eardrums. Some people really should not be allowed to have kids. #dumbasaboxofrocks

Tell us how you really feel reefer!

And you're right, the kid won't remember a thing. If you want to take your kids at least wait until they're older and will have some recollection of the time spent together.

Please Take Your Drunken Two Year Old Toddler Home
Benny Puckett - from the album Changes In Longitudes, Changes In Time Zones
Please take your toddler home
She's only two, she shouldn't be out ... on the lawn to roam
I'm an adult entertainer and she's just a very cute lawn gnome
So please take your drunken two year-old toddler home
She found mama's quaalude 'script
Took a few just right before the show
She is no beer drinker
She's filled the diapers fifteen times I know
She said our show was rather dull
She liked Barney the Dino more than she liked us
She said a cab cost twenty bucks
I gave her thirty cents to ride the bus
Please take your toddler home
She's only two, she shouldn't be out ... on the lawn to roam
I'm an adult entertainer and she's just a very cute lawn gnome
So please take your drunken two year-old toddler home

Let me now apologize to the OP for my parody above,
but it just wrote itself after I read this thread.
I don't really mean to be cruel ....

The original poster "gets it" they decided to leave said kid with grandparents. It's the one who said to ignore the advice.
