I write to you today to ask that you play Nautical Wheelers on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at Jiffy Lube Live in Bristow, VA. It is a song that holds a special place in my heart and the infrequent appearances it makes in your setlists leads me to believe I may never get to hear it live and in person.
As long as you are still basking in the euphoria of the moment, do you feel comfortable sharing with us just why this song is so special to you?
If not, just say so.  I'd be OK with it either way.

I wish there was a good story. There isn't. Out of all of his songs, there was just something about it that makes me warm and tingly inside, particularly the last few lines. No deep meaning. No tie into something from my life. It doesn't take me off to a beach or back to a certain point in my life. Nothing more than loving the song and feeling good when I hear it. I love the song for the song.
Good answer! Good answer!! [smilie=spank.gif] [smilie=spank.gif] (I could have sworn there used to be a clapping smiley!)

If you seriously have any inkling that this quest was ever annoying or pathetic to anyone, I truly believe you're wrong. In my case, it was only ever amusing and endearing! Hearing the news, my reaction was like (spoiler alert) when Elliot discovered ET was alive... that laughy/cry-ey hands up surprise! :D I have a feeling that was common sentiment worldwide!

Congrats again!

Does anyone else find themselves humming

Where the jukebox is blastin'
and the liquor is flowing
an occasional bottle of wine.
That's cause everyone here is just more than
contented to be living and dying in three quarter time.

It takes a second to realize what the song is....and then you smile :D

The whole way down to Florida. I keep playing the live track on my phone through my trucks speakers. I love the first two minutes. :).

No, but I've humming the chorus all day.

My version

In keeping the Nautical Wheelers high going, I edited the 3 videos of NW I found on BN and synced the audio of the RM feed. The original audio video sync was a bit off in the wide shot, so I fixed that by visually matching the lip sync.

Love it! What program did you use to edit the audio/video? The lag I got from the lawn was quite noticeable.

I don't know what editing software he used,
but I'm pretty certain he stripped the audio from all 3 videos
and replaced it with his own captured audio.

Yeah, I saw he mentioned that on the Facebook post. I'm assuming the program would allow you to pull the existing audio (or I can do that myself) and reinsert/reposition it to make it sync better.

Except for the ending, which included the Jimmy chanting from Funkhouse's! A nice touch!

You can easily do that in Windows using Windows Live Movie Maker,
or are you one of those "Mac" people .... ?

No, I am currently a built-my-own-Windows-8-PC user. So, what you're saying is that the most basic function I've wanted to do has been right under my nose all this time? Figures.

I didn't even notice a transition in the audio. Definitely a nice touch and well executed!
