Looks like Lyle is playing a few acoustic dates this summer. He is coming to Corpus Christi on May 30. He is playing an acoustic show with Robert Earl Keen here. For those close by, tickets go on sale tomorrow 4/20. If you are an Aggie and live in the area, you should have gotten the presale password.

He's playing in Cary, NC on May 4th with Chatham County Line, Delta Rae and at least one other band. The least expensive tickets are $35 before convenience charges for the lawn. Not too bad for this day and age. It's relatively small venue so even on the lawn you're not too far from the stage.

I've seen them both umpteen times, but only once together. When I was in college REK would drink beer with us before his shows at A&M. And then Lyle would always "mysteriously" sometimes show up to sing the Front Porch Song, but not actually play. I once saw REK do this as well once at a Lyle show in San Antonio. Lyle called REK up out of the audience.

I saw them both together at A&M for the Bonfire Benefit in '00 on a double bill. This should be a great show.

I've seen Lyle once before and am a big fan but I'll likely have to pass this one up. I'm sure it'll be great, especially with Chatham County Line on the bill.

I saw Lyle with John Hiatt in Princeton New Jersey in 2008 the show was brilliant.

The one and only time I've ever seen Lyle was on the Newport Folk Festival tour in 1998 with Nanci Griffith, Marc Cohn, Wilco, Jimmie Dale Gilmore, Joan Baez and others. Wonderful show from everyone and Lyle even joked about his early touring days when he used to play the Cave in Chapel Hill long ago.

Saw him acoustic twice with John hiatt....both incredible shows!

I went to that bonfire benefit at Reed Arena to see Lyle with REK. One of the best shows I've ever been too. (Nice to see Roger Creager and Max Stallings in that mix too.)

I saw Lyle and REK at Rudder a few weeks ago. Great show. If you can see this, go.

He did a acoustic show last year in CT...VERY GOOD

Just got tickets to see Lyle Lovett and John Hiatt for an acoustic show in October. From the comments here it sounds like I'm going to see a good show.

We JUST saw them Tuesday night in York, PA....we (PA Parrot & I) had never seen them before. It was a great show in a very small, outstanding venue. Our tickets were $60 each and we were 7th row, center.....They are both very talented and have a good inter-action. Enjoy !
