Denver, Oct 22, 2013....who's in??

The morning after the show, I was planning on driving up to Cheyenne, Wy then heading back down through Ft. Collins and Loveland to get to Estes Park. The flooding has changed that. It looks now like I'll be going through Golden to take the Peak to Peak highway. I'm still going to RMNP, its just gonna be from a different route. I guess I need to start looking at the breweries in Golden, so I can hit one or two on the way!

Didn't get a chance to reply on FB....... we'll keep our ears out for the travel restrictions. And if you do go to Golden? Go to Cannonball Creek, and Mountain Toad. They're just down the street from each other, and both GOOD.

It would have been a long day. Would have left Denver around 9 and get to Estes Park around 7. The thing with Cheyenne is its close and it was going to a state that I have not been to.

If I decide not to do Estes Park/RMNP on Wed/Thurs it will still be the Cheyenne/Ft Clooins trip on Wed with a night spent up that way that would let me come back down to Denver Thurs morning and maybe explore things west of there like Golden

two weeks time..... we're getting there!!

Have to say we're looking pretty tentative for this.

We've run the gamut of family issues lately and are taking care of my husband's learning disabled brother since he wrecked his car and his parents are out of the country (means lots of driving him to/from work, appointments, and school at times not really conducive to the 9-5 life we live).

And also, my stepdad just finished a week and a half stint in the hospital for complete renal failure and is now in a skilled nursing facility for who-knows-how-long for rehab. This also includes any number of doctor appointments that my husband I are taking him to in order to root cause the overall issue (sadly, prostate cancer recurrence is likely the culprit).

And also, since my in-laws our out of the country, finding someone to hang out with the kiddos so late on a school night is extremely difficult.

We're trying to figure out a way to pop by and say hi during tailgate times during the day (and especially Larry--but you should be easy because your hotel is across from our office).

This year has kind of kicked my ass a little, but, HEY, I'm still standing!!!

Finances are not allowing me to attend the concert this year. HOWEVER, I will most definitely, ABSOLUTELY make my way to the tailgate!

Last time he was here, some of you who met me may remember my long, dark rasta dreads that I wore for the show with my island shirt. "RED", a very cool cat, went on to call me "THE WHITE JAMAICAN" which I happily accepted.

Remember getting two seconds of fame on the jumbo tron during the show too! HA.

I remember meeting Red, Penny, Elrod and a few others. I need to go back here and read this entire thread to see WHO is going and WHAT TIME everyone is making their way down there.

We showed up at 11am or Noon last time, I believe.
